How does the desktop and web assistant work when you no longer have access to Enable now?
Is it a creation tool or part of the back end system?
Hi Nitin,
Desktop Assistant does not function, at all, without access to Enable Now. You need Producer to setup and publish the Desktop Assistant and Manager to access the content contained in Desktop Assistant.
In some applications, e.g. S/4HANA On Premise, it is possible to configure Web Assistant to access standard content only. This does not require access to Enable Now. However, if you want to access modified standard content or customer-specific content, you must have Enable Now licenses because Web Assistant will access the modified content from Enable Now Manager.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Shane

It depends. For Web Assistant, depending on what parameters are set it won't even show the (?). For Desktop Assistant it probably won't even launch, as the launcher file has to be downloaded from SAP Enable Now, and if you don't have access it can't download it. That's at least for Cloud DA. On Prem may be different.
