C4C Sales Quote with more than 50 items : Chrome Crashes and System Slowness

Hello Experts,

We have many instances in our C4C Quotes that our Sales user have over expectation from our C4C systems.

He uploaded an Excel file with products and he has uploaded 70 Items and now if he wants to change anything or delete something, its just stuff of the nightmare and frustration.

Has anyone experienced this? How can you handle large quotes or any transactional Data in C4C?

Or is my expectation is too much?

Hi MJ And Andrei,

So sorry for the late reply. Okay first of all thanks for replying 🙂

Basically Our customer is quoting a lot of parts in a single quote, But the issue is Chrome is shutting down due to Memory exhaustion which is very difficult to trace.

I will try to deacticate my Solution profile and see if that yields any benefit, but I think overall Quote Performance is dramatically getting poorer once u surpass 50 products. Can you please try and just price the quote with 50+ Line items?

I will reach out to SAP for this! Found this KBA as well : https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0001923372

not sure if this is completely relavent to C4C but seems SAP is aware about poor performance on LArger objects.

To add to what MJ suggested I'd also look into your custom code. If it's the same behavior with large quotes in Dev/test system, then I'd try to disable all custom sdk solutions and check if it helps. Also you can try and look at the very end of the page in the browser developer tools. There you'll find performance trace information.

Hi Dhruvin,

I am not sure if I fully understand your question - but I believe you would like some tips on how to increase the usability of the sales quote transaction for sales reps?

I would set up a seperate page lay out just for sales and check if any unnecessary data that is an overkill for sales reps, can be taken out / hidden, like tabs, fields etc.

In the product tab, where the items are listed, you can increase the number of line items up to 30 in one view. Besides I would rearrange the columns in de product tab and for example move the Action with the trashcan as much as possible to the left. This both saves scrolling. Make also sure that outdated quotes are set to completed.

If the performance is then still not satisfying you can ask via an incident to SAP to monitor and see what is going on.
