Singapore: IT0739 (Stock Options) in relation to ECM

Hi,

I am involved in a global roll out program of SAP HR at an international customer. ECM is in scope of this global roll out to support the compensation processes.

ECM offers functionalities to support the granting, vesting and exercising of LTI's. However, for Singapore a country-specific infotype 0739 exists for Stock Options. This infotype should be used in Singapore because the information is used in tax reporting (IR8A - Appendix 8B), however this infotype will not be filled when granting LTI's using ECM.

How does infotype 0739 relate to ECM?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Regards,

Marijn

Hi Suresh,

Thanks for your reply. My guess was also that IT0739 is not updated in ECM by standard, and that the Singaporean Tax report will not be changed to take its information from IT0761. So doing something different in the activation routine seems to be a solution.

However, I disagree with your suggestion to create a copy of the report and modify it. SAP delivers a Business Add-In that can and should be used in this case to replace the activation routines. Please read the help documentation on BAdI HRECM00_ACTIVATION.

Best regards,

Marijn

Hi,

As part of standard ECM, LTI grants are maintained in infotype 0761. The LTI grant information is initially stored in 0759 when the Manager issues the grant in MSS. Once it is approved, the delivered program HR_ECM_CHANGE_PROC_STATUS has to be run in the backend to genearte the 0761. Since, 0739 is specific to Singapore, you can copy HR_ECM_CHANGE_PROC_STATUS & maintain a custom version that will generate a 0739 ( instead of 0761) based on the LTI grant info on 0759. PL take a look at the function call HR_ECM_WRITE_SECONDARY_INFTY & you will easily be able to figure out what needs to be added to meet your requirement.
