Planning strategy and stock requirement list.

Dear All,

Current scenario in stock/requirement list,

Kindly have a look over the image. Our client has both sales order and forecast based,so i have maintained strategy 40. After MRP Run,the following is displayed in the image. Stock is 40,PIR for 50,so planned order is for 10..so assume finally we get PIR 50 after producing remaining 10. so assume now stock is 50. But whereas Sales order is 70..so why MRP is not generating planned order for remaining 20,like it generated 10 initially for PIR..? When we run MRP first time, at that time itself it must create planned order for 30 (S.O 70 - 40 stock) right? Or if PIR is included the Planned order should be for 20 right? Because sales order is of high demand than PIR. Am a bit confused.. Correct me if am wrong and kindly make it clear with an example.

Hi

As mentioned above, regarding the Strategy : 40,
System will consider the incoming Sales Order & if the Sales Order quantity is more than the Independent requirements, then the System will create the additional Planned orders.
In the reported case, it seems, the Customer Order Requirement Type, need to be checked.
Because, the quantity is not appearing in the available Qty Column.( Pointed with Red arrow mark , in the Case 1)

Check the same case, system is working as designed ( find the attached Test case 2)

Thanks for your reply. As you told the problem was in sales order requirement type. I maintained as KSV and finally it worked.
