Configuring TREX Search for a repository!

Hi,

I have intalled complete TREX (alongwith the HttpServer).

Linked with the IIS.

Changed the settings through the Visual Administrator for the name server to <machine name>:port no.

Now I want to know what other steps I have to follow to search through a repository (which I have integrated into portal using Repository Framework and RM).

I am completely unaware about the search process as i am completely new to portal.

The installation guide provided is not of much use.

Kindly guide!

Regards,

Manish

    Hello Manish

What you'll want to do is set up an index for the data source(s) you're interested in searching. You do this in the Index Administration iView located at System Administration > System Configuration > Knowledge Management > Index Administration. Read this" target="_blank">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/73/66c08dacf611d5993700508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">this documentation for helpful details.

There are also Search Options Sets and Search Component Sets you can configure in order to customize your Search iViews according to your requirements. For more information, see" target="_blank">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c8/765140c770cd01e10000000a155106/frameset.htm">see this documentation.

    Hope this helps,

    Fallon
