What features and connections are available on the free trial of SAP Analytics Cloud.
Are there any limitations or restrictions for the SAC trial?

Thank you so much for putting this question because i was also looking for the answer. Now, I will go with the paid version of SAP analytics because it seems very beneficial to me like my high quality motorcycle helmets.

Hi Sally,

On the free SAP Analytics Cloud Trial, you are able to try both SAP Analytics Cloud for business intelligence and SAP Analytics Cloud for planning features.

Please note that any work saved on the trial becomes unusable after the trial has expired. The content can not be moved to a licensed(paid) account of SAC and all data will be deleted.

Features

There are a few features that will be available for the licensed account of SAC. To find the option that’s right for you, check our pricing page to compare the SAP Analytics Cloud features available on the free trial and the paid plans.

Connections

The following Live Connections are supported:

• SAP Business Warehouse
• SAP Data Warehouse Cloud
• SAP HANA Cloud.

The import/acquired data connections supported are as following:

• SAP Business ByDesign Analytics
• SAP Cloud for Customer
• SAP Cloud for Customer Analytics
• SAP HANA
• SAP Integrated Business Planning
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP SuccessFactors
• Dow Jones
• Google Big Query
• Google Drive
• OData Services
• Qualtrics.

The following Live Connections are not supported:

• SAP BPC
• SAP S/4 Hana
• SAP Universe

The following Acquired Connections are not supported:

• SAP BPC
• SAP BW (including BW/4 Hana)
• SAP ERP
• SAP Universe

Hello sallytjomas,

Here is a comparison between trial and enterprise account. Difference that stand out is the support for enterprise data connectivity, planning models, access to content network (prebuilt contents) and live data connection

Data presentation on Excel add-in is not supported as well. Beside by experience I can say- you can not use search to insight on any custom built models. You are allowed to try this function on existing models though.
