Hello All,
We have a requirement to create a scenario for a web portal in CBTA.
I am able to successfully add URL(BASE_URL) and assign username and password in SUT management.
But, During creation of login schema it is pushing me out of the login page when I am try to SPY the Username and Password element. Did anyone face similar kind of issue.
Note: This portal is restricted as we need to provide our client information to login the page.
Note: And attaching a screenshot of an error when trying to spy the elements in the web portal.
CBTA Version: 3.0.13.4

Prasanth Nalam
Hello Prasanth,
Based on the screenshot error, it seems like IE on your system is not supported with CBTA version.
Please try to update the IE version on your system and then try to use Object Spy.
Thanks,
Danish

Hi Danish,alli-document-version-5.png
Thanks for your reply!
If you can check the attachments, I attached two screen captures having document version 11 and document version 5.
I am able to spy for the elements of a web portal which is having document version(11), but I am unable able to spy the elements of a web portal having document version(5).
To my knowledge, Looks this is not with the IE version as it is with the web portal which we are hitting. Can you share your suggestions what needs to be done to increase the document version of web portal so that spy can support?
Will it be helpful if we increase the CBTA version what we are using from 3.0.13.4 to latest version 3.0.15.5 ?
Regards
Prasanth Nalam
Hello Prasanth,
This is the limitation of CBTA.
CBTA doesn't support which is having document mode less than 11 for the web portal applications, check with the portal developer to upgrade document mode 11 or greater than 11. .

Vijay

Hello Prasanth,
Yes, you should definitely try with the updated version of the CBTA and have the CBTA version always updated in your system.
Please let me know once you have tried with the updated version.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Danish,
Yes I did update with the latest version 3.0.15.5 today and tried to spy elements. Still it is not spying as the web page I am trying to spy is lower version which is not compatible with CBTA!
But I did found a work around for this kind of issue, I did manually change the document mode from 7 to 11 and I did spy the elements and added the URI's in Test Script.
Find the attached screenshot!
