Warning message: "Some merge actions may not be applied in the target model"

Hi,

When I try to check-in a CDM model I get the following warning message:

"Some merge actions may not be applied in the target model, because you do not have the Write permission on some packages."

I'm sure that I have write permission in all 45 model packages.

Does anyone knows why am I getting this warning message?

Best regards,

Carlos

I am afraid, that more detailed information here will be needed.

What PD version are you using?

Are you doing checkin directly or through proxy?

What differences you see in the merge window? Really only those you are aware of, or are there some other differences, that weren`t made by you directly? (put some screenshots here)

Do you really have Write permission on the whole model or do you have perhaps Submit permission? (Put some screenshots here)

Have you tried to perform same modifications and checkin with another user, which has similar or bigger permissions for this model?

What happens, when you perform "Save as new model" function, checkin such "new" model into the repository, attach Write permissions to the WHOLE model for your user and try to perform the same steps as with your original model? Do you get same error message?

I am afraid, that without these additional information no one will be able to help you.

Hi Ondrej,

When I read your answer, I decide to double check if I really had write permissions on the whole model.

I’m talking about a big CDM with so many information edited by so many different users.

Then I realize that I don’t had write permissions on a couple of packages.

So, your answer helps me to find the solution.

Many Thanks Ondrej!

By the way, I’m using PD version 16.6.5.0 (5532) and I do get connected to the repository via proxy.

Best Regards,

Carlos
