Attachment from ASN and SES - Ariba network to S/4 or ECC

Hi all,

Has anyone enabled transfer of attachment for ASN and Service entry sheets from Ariba network to S/4 or ECC. Is it a simple IMG activity or does it involve ABAP coding.

The IMG activity for transfer of attachments on Order confirmation is based on event linkage. But there is no such activity for ASN or ECC. Instead IMG activity recommends the use of BADI ARBCIG_BADI_ATTACHMENT_UTIL for attachments. Do we need to enable attachments for ASN/ SES through the BADI only or is there another way around Thanks Venkat

Hi Venkat,

Just to share what we did.

We had the BAdi ARBCIG_BADI_ATTACHMENT_UTIL activated but no extra coding added. The attachment for the ASN and Order Confirmation from Ariba get posted into SAP ERP.

Hi Thian,

We have activated this BADI. I have submitted an attachment in the Ship notice but it does not get transferred to PO or Inbound delivery.

Where do you see attachments in ECC ? I don't see the attachment in the payload too

Have you referred to the CIG Installation Guide? Chapter 13.3.7 Supporting attachments and comments.

Please ensure the buyer account allows for suppliers to send attachments for SES and ASN's before making changes to CIG configurations to allow for attachments to flow through.

Yes, i have referred to this section and hence my question. There is a straightforward IMG activity for Order Confirmation. But no similar activity for ASN and SES. Do you know if it is possible ? If yes is it only through ABAP coding ?
