Use DWC with SAC Planning

Hello,

I'm interested in the scenario of using a DWC as a Data Warehouse in combination with Planning in SAC.

In the following note I saw the remark, that "SAC planning is not possible for SAP DWC live connections".

Does this mean, that planning is not possible at all in combination with DWC?

Or is there a possibility to acquire the DWC data in SAC and then plan on the acquired model?

Hi Nicolas,

i assume this is not urgent anymore, but for the sake of completeness and if someone else is searching for the answer:

We plan to release a bidirectional integration between SAC & DWC shortterm, which you can find in our Roadmap Explorer here. We also plan to extend these scenarios and eliminate the need to physically exchange the data between SAC & DWC. So stay tuned - there is a lot to come:)

What is the workaround until this is delivered. The roadmap states Q22022 so until then what options are available?

Hi Tim,

it depends on what you want to achieve. A retraction is not possible until then.
For acquiring data from DWC - the odata integration, mentioned above, will be the preferred way to do it.

If you need to acquire data from DWC, you might try to leverage existing SQL Import options from SAC and expose DWC data in an OpenSQL Schema. But to be clear - it is just an idea, i have not tested it and it is not an official recommendation:)

We know that this is an important topic and we are very happy that we will have it released very soon.

Is there any update?

How can we leverage SAC planning capabilities from DWC data? Is O-Data still the only way?

I see from Road Map that the bidirectional integration mainly refers to geo-data.

You update on the topic would be great apreciated.
