We are on Release 2102 and would like to explore turning on the email functionality. Currently we do not send any emails for workflow or other monitoring activities, and I was wondering if someone would know where I would need to get started on this. Also, I would like to know what the effort level is and whether we will need to work with SAP on this regarding the URL links. If anyone has any experience or thoughts on this, this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure you want to set up email notification for what kind of workflow, take sales workflow for example, you can refer to Set Up Email Notifications for Approval Workflows for the step-by-step guide.
While if you want to set up email notifications for other workflows, you can refer to Enable Email Notifications for a Situation Type as well.
