change the "specifications" field in QE51N for qualitative characteristics

is there a way to change the text "selected results" in "specifications" field in QE51N during results recording for qualitative characteristics?

the reason for this is that i want for example that the characteristic short text to be "appearance", the specifications to be "clear yellow liquid" and the result set to be "ok/not ok".

Daniel, it sounds like you want to replace an Inspection Characteristic in the Inspection Plan. The Inspection Plan can be changed in QP02 by those Super Users who have access. You can view the existing list of Master Inspection Characteristics in QS28 to see if one of them can be used. If not, you can create a new Qualitative MIC with a catalogue of OK/Not OK.

Hi Daniel,

You can maintain the characteristic short text in transaction QP02 (characteristic overview). If the characteristic short text is disabled, try to edit it directly in transaction QS23 instead.

As for the result and specification texts you'd like to see during results recording, please check in transactions QS41 and QS51.

i'm sorry, i wasn't clear enough. i guess that the right question is - can i change the text in the "specifications" field to be anything else then the catalog description? (that can be edited in QS51, i'm trying to avoid create too many catalogs)
