Hi SAP Gurus,
We have an urgent requirement of version management in Purchase Order where we have to activate version management only if PO is unreleased and any changes done to it. How we can achieve this? Pls Help?
Thanks
Deven
As you have changeability indicator 1 for your release indicator and once PO released- PO cannot be changed.
Better follow on configuring version management for PO with PO document type on PO changes else follow suggested above step having version numbering in PO layout.

Without configuration for version management on PO with PO document type - you try to show version number in PO layout only with ME22N. Refer logic PO version number without configuration on PO change

Hi Bijay,
Thanks for the reply.
Actually earlier we have configured release strategy upto four levels on different purchase order types and with release indicator 1 (Cannot be changed). Now we want version management on all the PO types where version will be created during changes in PO, AFTER PO GET UNRELEASED. And if this is not possible then we want version management based on a single user role (login) where version management will be handled by only one user and rest of the users will get the same disabled screen if PO is released.
How can i get this? Pls Help.
Can't, please check following help: Version Management.

It is not possible if you are using Version Management standard.
I advise you to create a z-table for custom version management and update that z-table through BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST method POST.
