Asking help to understand one expression in Disk Space Required for SAP HANA Installation session in SAP HANA Storage Requirements (Page 10)
Size installation(single-node) = MIN(1 x RAM; 1 TB)
What does it mean?
Hello jessy_li7,
Size installation(single-node) = MIN(1 x RAM; 1 TB) = Minimum of ( RAM size of the system and 1 TB)
Supposedly you have deducted the RAM size is 512 Gig, then as per the above formula your installation disk size should be Min(512Gig; 1TB) = 512Gig.
Similarly if you have RAM size of 1.5TB, 1TB would be your resultant.
Hope this clarifies. Thanks,
Bitan
