Hello,

I do not fully understand this question. I will try to answer it with some assumptions.

In the receipt print. the barcode of the receipt is already printed.
So for returning purpose the cashier needs to first click in the "Return Receipt" function, and then scan this barcode and then the cashier can return individual items or whole receipt.

If the use-case is that, when printing receipt.. make a print of the receipt and make an additional print with a barcode for return.. and the cashier can just scan this addtional barcode for return, then this is not supported in the standard solution.
I can imagine the following ways to achieve it.
1) Lets say Receipt ID: R12345. Enhance the print Template to print additional barcide with receipt with RET_R12345
2) Build a PlugIn in which the scan information is processed by the PlugIn. If it starts with RET_... then trigger the return receipt for this ID,, otherwise continue the standard flow to look for an article.

Hope it helps.

Hello Cornelius,

By default every receipt prints a barcode at the bottom that can be used to return any item from that receipt. If you want to add a barcode to each item sold on the receipt, you could also manage to do so by modifying the print template, but I believe it would clutter the receipt unnecessarily.

The one thing I think you can't do right now is: scan the original receipt barcode, and then scan the product barcode in order to register that specific item as returned. After scanning the original receipt barcode you're down to selecting all items or any number of individual items by selecting them on screen.

Hope this helps,

Best regards,

Joerg.

Hello cornelius.beck

Why can't you use the receipt barcode to return a receipt or some items on the receipt?

Best Regards
