Define Consolidation Operators to PAPM Master Data

0 Kudos

Hi there,

I have a requirement wherein I want an hierarchy to rollup based on its base level members. See an example below:

Parent

Child1 (+)

Child2 (-)

Child3 (+)

In the above example I want to associate an arithmetical or consolidation operators like addition, multiplication or subtraction. When it gets rolled up to parent it should aggregate based on its base level member operators. Is there a way in PAPM to associate a consolidation or arithmetical operators to the members in master data? Can anyone help me on this?

Hi Prashanth,

Good day 🙂

In PaPM, we can only define the Master Data and Heirarchy of a field, and maintain its attributes. but when you do the Modeling in PaPM e.g Raw data > Processing Function > Query (analyze) and check the data, Analyze can provide reporting or analysis using the defined heirarchy, this is somewhat the same with what you wanted less the association of arithmetic operator. Parent Node will show the totals of all the values of its child. please see the screenshot for example;

You can make also use of the chart types available in Analyze for further analysis. Is this somewhat you are expecting? if not please provide more details so the community can help you out.

Thanks

Thanks Nathaniel.

This is not what I am looking for. I am looking for associating an arithmetic operators to the base level members. Is there a way in PAPM where we can associate an attributes like addition or subtraction to each members of the master data.

Regards,

Prashanth
