Hello,
Delta will generate a record when key figure of sales order item (for example, amount) is changed from 8 to 10. But whats happen if other characteristics (like planned delivery date) change? Will delta generate new record and what value it brings?
Thanks
Hi Aleksandrs,
whenever a characteristic is changed in the sales order there will be 2 records . New record will have the new characteristic value and the key figures value as positive (after image ) . Whereas the old record (before image ) will have the old characteristic value and all the key figure will be negative. When the before image goes to cube the key figure values for the old characteristic become zero and will not be displayed in the report.

Hi Aleksandrs,
Delta will produce two records:
the first one will delete the previous record inserted in Cube.
the second one contain the new changed data (KF or CH).
Ciao.

Hi Aleks!
The answer to your doubt is: if a delta-relevant field changes, delta mechanism (if I'm right undersatnding, you are talking about Logistic datasources...) will generate two records EVEN IF only a char (and not a KF) changes...
In this case, every KF will be loaded (as first record) with a negative sign and then (as second record) every KF will be updated with the same amount/qty already in your BW (as in the before image).
Situation: you will have the correct situation with the same KF values and the updated char...
Just a little correction about Riccardo's answer:
"the first one will delete the previous record"
this is not possible, new records will be only added on the cube and the previous ones will remain!
Hope it helps!
Bye,
Roberto
