Material not yet created in supplying plant

Hi All ,

While creating a material from MM01 ,I am getting a warning message :"Material not yet created in supplying plant"

Message no. M3485

after entering the plant number. Please help and let me know how to resolve the issue.

Need to extend your material for supplying plant for Sales View.

Are sure- you are trying to copy material code/number from production system to quality system!!!!

If a material number available in production system , probably the same material number most be there in quality system. If not- you can create a new material number with MM01 in quality system referring data from production system.

But during material creation where you are entering supplying plant?

You are creating a new material with MM01 for a plant but how your another plant relates to your newly created material!

You have entered a supplying plant for which the material master record has not yet been created. This may be an external plant - a plant in a different system within the SAP system group. If the plant is your own plant, you may want to create the material master record for the supplying plant.
