Hello aaustin,
This is default behavior of Hierarchies and I am afraid this doesn't supports removal or chaining of indentation between parent and child nodes.
I am assuming this hierarchy is on account dimensions, if the list of nodes are small enough, you can create calculated measures and arrange them in your required sequence. But then you loose the ability to represent parent and child relation (unless you follow a naming conversion).
