Automatic table filter from T-code entry?

Is it possible to create a layout/variant that automatically filters a table based on a value entered in the T-code?

Example- I'm running a COOIS component report based on an upper-level materials, specific component, and PO dates. The current output is the entire PO BOM of the upper-level material that utilizes the component. I am needing to go in and add a filter to get the component on it's own. Is there a way to enter a variable into a filter that is dependent on a field within T-code entry screen?
