How to default standard fields under compensation template?

Hello,

I was wondering, is there a way to default compensation template standard field values such as; merit, meritDate, etc. without uploading them via UDF files or mapping them from EC?

Hi Murat

The standard "planning" fields (merit, extra, extra2, promotion, lumpsum and lumpsum2) can be defaulted using guidelines. For more information on guidelines, refer to the help documentation. This should help: Compensation Guidelines

The other standard fields would need to be imported via UDF or mapped to EC fields.

In extreme cases, some clients will make the first step of the route map only go to the reward team, who will download the Executive Review, enter values offline, and then re-import to load the data. But as I said, this would be an extreme solution where guidelines or UDF/EC isn't possible.

Hi Murat,

On top of Phil's comments, you can also use MDF objects to default values in any standard field of Compensation (including recommendation columns).
