BI Platform Searches -- wild cards, etc.

Hi,

When searching the BI Platform (LaunchPad) can wildcards be used? Does it support any other techniques for requiring terms or excluding terms, etc.?

Does/Should the search capability include substrings of words in a file name? For example, we have a webi that includes a persons first initial and last name in the file name (say something like Status Report - JLennon).

• If I search for J* the file will show in the results.
• If I search for *Lennon* it doesn't work.. seems like * can't be the first character.
• if I search for Lennon* it does NOT appear in the search results.

if the first character is a wild card I get a 'Search string is invalid. Enter a valid search string.' error message.
