I am trying to use a service task in an SAP Cloud Platform workflow. I have created a destination at the instance level and then using the view dashboard option, I have configured a destination. Now when I am trying the destination within my Service Task, the workflow goes into an error. Below is the screen-shot of the error and it says no destination found. I am also attaching the screen-shot of the destination service and configured destination. What am I missing here?

Hello Tanmoy,
In workflow, you have to create a destination at sub-account level and then use the same while configuring the service task. Its mentioned as part of the documentation (Step 6).

Hello Archana,
So it seems that any destination created at the instance level can't be recognized by the workflow runtime. Is there any chance in future this will be added by SAP? The reason I am asking as our system admins have restricted the authorization to the creation of destinations under the connectivity option.
All the best,
Tanmoy
Thanks for the confirmation Archana.

Hey Tanmoy,
archana.shukla is 100% right - I just wanted to add to keep in mind, that every app hosted on the subaccount can access the destinations at sub-account level via the destination-service. You need to keep that security-issue in mind while designing your solution (and the destination onBoarding 😉 )

Cedric

Hi mondalta ,
it depends if you created your destination as a service instance destination or a subaccount destination.
That means you can create the destination on the cockpit directly on subaccount level
OR
you're going to create it on space level, where you also can have destination-instances, where you're able to create destinations in it.
Check this documentation about how to find out, where you created your destinations (via API) and to read more about destinations.
