Material ledger must be set productive for valuation area

hello folks,

Please help

Case 1 - while creating Material it's showing that "Material ledger must be set productive for valuation area ( plant xyz )".

Case 2 - while through omx1 trying to activate material ledger it's showing " ML currency Type but not FI currency type".
