My Inbox App - Data refresh problem

I have implemented My Inbox App with several workflows at a customer. Currently we are facing issue with the tasks not getting refreshed when any task relevant data gets updated in the database. The changes are not reflecting unless you trigger a hard reload. This issue might be because My Inbox works with client side ODATA. Any recommendations to solve the refresh issue ?

Expectation is the data should refresh real time. We have configured custom workflows through SWFVISU.
