Marketing cloud embed a video in an e-mail

Hello experts,

I'm working with content studio in the marketing cloud and I would like to know if it's possilble to embed a video in an e-mail. For landing pages you can easily use the „Video icon“ on the left.

For e-mails there isn’t such an icon. I searched in some blogs and tried to use the tag <iframe> to embed the video. This is working, at least the video is visible in the content studio.

The problem is, that if I send the e-mail from a campaign or as test, the video is not there..Is just outlook that doesn’t support this technology? Do you know other possibilities?

Hi Giorgia,

as far as I know the most clients have that problem that it is not possible to display the video that you inserted using iframe.

So as per my knowledge in most cases a link to the video is used together for example with a gif that shows a part of the video.

yes that could be a workaround. Other ideas without using the <iframe>?

gbizzotto the only two things I always see is working with gif or with an image with a "play" button. But I think there's no way to include videos in that way that you could play them directly in the email, since these limitations comes from the email clients. At least I found no way until now...
