Show account as flat presentation in table possible?

Hi experts!

I´m using a planning model with an account dimension using a hierarchy.

In the planning table I´d like to show filtered accounts as flat presentation, means a list of accounts without using the hierarchy. Unfortunately flat presentation is not available to select.

As possible workaround solutions is see

- duplication of account dimension without hierarchy

- duplicate all accounts in same dimension with formula referring to original account and don´t assign the duplicated accounts to the hierarchy

Both workarounds are not satisfiying.

Any other ideas?

Hello thkarner,

Flatting of account dim is a long request item in influence council. Status for this request is yet to change as "planned". What we are doing instead is adding "calculated measures" for the nodes we want in story itself. It works best for small hierarchies like account and do not show any performance issue. Beside this gives us the flexibility of input control based selection for users as well.

Hi Vijayeta, thanks for your information. I was afraid to get this confirmation.

My account dimension has almost 2000 entries and is quite big. Seems I need to do some investigations ... 😞

PS: The planned universal model (coming this year) should solve this issue (hopefully).
