I am trying to use File Adapter to get and send data to Windows Server from XI using FTP. Our XI box is on Unix. I get an error saying
Error connecting to ftp server '10.66.86.101': FTPEx: C:\test: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
Any help appreciated.

C:\test
is this the value for directory parameter in your channel configuration? If yes, then it is wrong. You need to specify a absolute path wrt the ftp root directory of your FTP server.

Just a basic question. Did you configure your receipent as a FTP server for it to receive the file ?
