Ariba API to check the status of invoice or purchase order

Hi Team,

I am looking for an API that can fetch the status of a requisition or invoice document. I tried the Ariba Network PO API an its returning all data fields for a particular PO. My requirement is to be able to fetch only selected fields in the output. Please advise which API to use for the subject query.
