Batch management materials

Dear Experts, Please guide me on below requirement:

1. How to find the list of materials that are batch management activated and for those batch management not activated in SAP MM.

2. What are all the impacts if we activate batch management for those materials batch management not activated in the system?

3. Do we need to change the count to 0 for those materials not activated and do the activation?

Requirement is to develop a new report for the inventory managed materials purchase order wise.

Here if we develop the report using MCHB and MSEG tables as per the requirement, PO numbers will be fetched only for the materials batch management activated.

    Hello DD RT

Ad 1. Implement a query or a report using MARA-XCHPF "Batch management requirement indicator" and/or MARC-XCHPF "Batch Management Requirement Indicator for Plant".

Ad 2. Batch management activation has far reaching consequences - all the movement types are executed for a batch, physical inventory is executed on batch level, you'd need to implement batch search strategies to automate batch assignment. stock is divided by batches etc.

Ad 3. The standard approach to activating batch management is to clear stocks in previous and current period and to close all the documents. Details are explained in the notes:

However you can purchase a tool/service from SAP to activate batch management without meeting all the prerequisites - see the note 533276 - Setting the batch management requirement I used this tool and it simply works.
