Lumira Designer 2.4 - SSO connection to BW not working

Hello community,

I´m facing an issue while using Lumira Designer 2.4 Patch 01.

We updated the lumira server (from 2.3 to 2.4) and also the client and when opening a dashboard which contains a BW query (OLAP SSO configured) I do not retrieve data anymore and I only see the info message "Waiting for backend" in Lumira Designer client.

While I was waiting for the data I checked with Administrator user in the CMC the open sessions and what I found there is pretty strange? I can see my own user which is opening session after session and trying to connect to BW system. This leads to 50 open sessions and ending up with an error message in Lumira Designer as soon as the session limit is reached (depends on CS or named user license):

When switching OLAP connection from SSO to "predefined" everything work´s as expected.

Do you guys know how to fix this?

We didn´t change anything in system landscape except the Lumira Designer upgrade from 2.3 SP2 to 2.4 SP0.

Any input is much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance!

Br,

Mario

Hi Harald,

thank you so much for your reply. This helps a lot as I can see the problem should be solved with Patch 02 which should be available by next week!

Best regards,

Hi Mario,

the patch is available since last week. But just to clarify:

You need to fix the 3 communication layers (Web Service, REST Web Service and Corba) to have the SSO connection working on the Designer. The fix will "just" remove the exhaustion of licenses on the BIP...
