Is anyone else experiencing a sporadic problem with Platform Search where the following error message appears on the CMC when checking the Platform Search application? We are running BusinessObjects 4.2, Patch 13 on Windows Server 2012 R2.
Platform Search is not available because BI platform cannot validate the search's file paths
We have never ever had an issue with Platform Search until we applied BusinessObjects 4.2, Patch 13. I am aware of how to clear the error but it keeps occurring sporadically, roughly once a month. I have worked with SAP but the suggestions they provided have not permanently eliminated the issue.
Did you manage to resolve this issue? We're now facing the same. We're on 4.2 SP8

Have you tried checking that you have enough space for the java tmp directory?
