Mkt Cloud with S/4 HANA Cloud package: (to be) deprecated articacts?

Hi,

In the S/4 Hana Cloud integration package with SAP Marketing Cloud,

in the guide, a lot of artifacts are listed as "to be deprecated":

https://help.sap.com/viewer/e2266f81e0604a15b3e0973c231083b4/2102.500/en-US

and in the API package they are even listed "deprecated":

https://api.sap.com/package/SAPHybrisMarketingCloudSAPS4HANAEnterpriseCloudIntegration?section=Artif...

What are these then replaced with?

Thanks,

Kr

Hello,

Could you please screenshot of the page as I'm not able to find anything related to DEPRECATED in both the links.

Thanks kunalkumar.bansal and jens.tewes for that info.

So, to integrate business partners from S/4 to SAP Marketing Cloud, you must go through "SAP Cloud Platform Master Data for Business Partners" then?

What is that exactly, is that a separate product? Is a separate licence needed for that?

Hi Joyca,

no, "SAP Cloud Platform Master Data for business partners Integration with SAP Marketing Cloud" is just an integration package on the SAP API Business Hub that allows you to integrate master data between the reuse service SAP Master Data for Business Partners with SAP Marketing Cloud.

For more information, see the package on the API Hub under https://api.sap.com/package/SAPMarketingCloudIntegrationwithSAPCloudPlatformMasterDataforbusinesspar... and the corresponding guide under https://help.sap.com/viewer/0f9408e4921e4ba3bb4a7a1f75f837a7/2102.500/en-US/d599cb65c3444d33b3facfff....

Hello Joyca,

It's a new version API with changed name, works same way it used to without any additional license as per my knowledge.

best regards,

Kunal

I'm still confused jens.tewes...

You added "the corresponding guide under https://help.sap.com/viewer/0f9408e4921e4ba3bb4a7a1f75f837a7/2102.500/en-US/d599cb65c3444d33b3facfff....". That document has a chapter for marketing, a chapter for CPI, (no chapter for S/4), and a chapter "Technical Setup in SAP Master Data Management" that sais "For information on setup in SAP Master Data Management, see Connecting SAP Master Data Management to SAP Cloud for Customer."

In that guide then, on the onboarding chapter, it is mentioned:

"Follow the steps below for onboarding:

  1. Once you have purchased SAP Cloud Platform Master Data for business partners, the service with name SAP Business Partner Service will appear in the Entitlement tab in SAP Cloud Platform Cockpit.
  2. From the Entitlement tab, assign the service SAP Business Partner Service with the required quota to your subaccount (tenant). This will enable access to the service from SAP Service Marketplace for the assigned subaccount."

That sounds like an extra licence to me...

Hi Joyca,

sorry, this is new to me as I never tried out the integration myself. It seems like I've reached the end of my subject matter expertise here.

I will double-check with some colleagues and try to get back to you.

Sorry again and best regards,

Jens

Hi Joyca,

for an overview of the replacements for the artifacts marked as deprecated or to be deprecated, see the What's New for 2102 on the SAP Help Portal under:

https://help.sap.com/viewer/fd4e354968fd432db74bff1992c3a1fb/2102.500/en-US

To find the required entries, I recommend to use the filter in the "Business Scenario or Area" column (first column of the table) and filter for "Integration".

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Jens
