Hi All,

Is anyone know any setting that cause sldservice.log and security.log keep increase until can reach 100GB?

And, how to set these two log file to another location, example from default location C:\ProgramData\SAP\SAP Business One\Log\SAP Business One ServerTools\System Landscape Directory to another location like D:\ drive?

Thank you very much for any reply.

Regards

Mat

Dear mat.mat,

These SLD log files are used for the troubleshooting.

In case of abnormal growth of size of these SLD log files, it is required to get a sample of the log file events or errors which causing the log files to grow. I am aware that the transfer of those files can be problematic due to their size, so it would be best to get an example of the repeating error if possible, for the analysis.

In general, usually these errors are repeating and related to a situation, where the databases previously configured with SLD services (e.g. job service) were deleted from SLD but the SLD was not refreshed.
In such case, it is recommended to log on to the SLD Control Center, manually refresh the company list of current DB instance. Then the SLD would defect these deleted databases and update internal records automatically.

Also, there is a workaround to keep the size of log file always up to 10 GB. You can raise an incident for SAP Business One Support Team to get that workaround. Also, you can ask for the analyzing the cause as well.

Dear rahul.jain257,

You can delete them when the SAP Business One Server Tools service is stopped.

However, as I mentioned earlier as well, in case of unusual growth of the size of these SLD log files, it is required to get a sample of the log file events or errors which is causing the log files to grow.
