Hi All,

i have a requirement to rename mass no. of Local Controls via MDUG.

i see that downloaded MDUG template does not contain local controls. Could you please suggest if local controls can be managed through MDUG. And if so, can they be renamed

Hi Plaban,

Have you found a solution for this. I have a similar issue. I have a Central Library with Controls and some of these controls have been localized with allow for local changes "Yes". When this option is selected then controls have to be maintained in 2 places, the Central Library and the Localised library per Organisation. I found myself correcting the localised library manually, which is very time consuming. If you have found a solution for this please share. I'm also looking for a MDUG template to update controls per organisation.

Kind Regards

Priya

Hi Pablan

In old version of process Control 2.5, I used the report GRPC_PSTEP SYNCHRONIZE to synchronized attributes between the central and local controls. Check if this program is available and help you.

Hi Neeraj,

Thanks for your reply. But My requirement cannot be met with update of central control. Because i have for example 10 local controls against 1 central control. And i need to change the title of each local control to a unique one.

Hi Plaban,

Local controls will not be there under Business process the controls you see under Business processs are central controls when you assign that control to an organization it becomes local.

So when you update the central control the local control also gets updated.

Hi Neeraj,

"So when you update the central control the local control also gets updated."

This will only happen when allow for Local changes is set to No on assignment. If allow for local changes is set to Yes, then any changes made under the Central Library will not update the Local Library.

HI Plaban,

When you update the central control the local control will be updated automatically.
