Missing Shape-ID in SAC

Hey,

i am currently trying to use the choropleth layer in SAC with BW/4HANA Live connection.

Setup:

- BW/4HANA 2.0 SP6

- HANA 2.00.040.00.1553674765

- SAC 2021.3.2

I keep facing this error message: Missing BW-Shapedimension

I created an InfoObject, chose geographic type "point data", filled 0geofeatid with the hana function BW_GEO_FEAT_ID from 0longitude and 0latitude and put the characteristic into the query.

I can visualize bubble charts, heat maps etc. but not choropleth layer.

Master Data seems to be okay.

Can anyone help me?

Hi,

the choropleth layer in SAC only works if the navigation attribut 0GEOFEATID is added to the query (e.g. as free characteristic). If you don't have it in your query only Bubble and Heatmap layer work in SAC.

Hi Fre, I solved this issue, in case you still need it:

The 0GEOFEATID, has to be added first as Navigation Attribute of the original infoobject (for eg. 0CUSTOMER) and then together with this object as a navigation attribute to the cube/multiprovider/composite provider, otherwise it will not work. Like this we could then use with live data the choloropleth map in SAC. We are also running on BW7.5 SP 16.

You are getting the error because BW and HANA back system is not configured to display regions. First step is to configure HANA spatial delivery units. See additional info here: https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BI/BW+Live+-+Geo+Map

In the SAC the choropleth layer works, if i choose a data set that i've uploaded into SAC directly.
