need sales report that includes freight amount

This is another topic that I posted about last year but has somehow disappeared from the forum.

It's a basic question.

What S4C sales report includes the freight amount, either per line item or total per order?

Hi Ralph,

I set up a quick test and can confirm, if you are using the YBHD pricing element to track your freight charges on deliveries, the charges are copied to the invoice.

You can use the CDS View I_BillingDocumentItemPrcgElmnt (Help: https://help.sap.com/viewer/0f69f8fb28ac4bf48d2b57b9637e81fa/LATEST/en-US/157144ef524c489d81d18eaaf7... to view the freight charges.

You will need to filter the I_BillingDocumentItemPrcgElmnt.ConditionType for the value 'YBHD'

Using this information, you should be able to use the Manage KPIs and Reports app to create a report for your Freight for Sales Orders and summarize as you wish. (Sales Order -> Delivery -> Billing Document).

Hi Jerry,

It turns out that we are using YBHD for sales order freight costs, so your instructions will help in creating a custom report to see our sales-related freight costs.

However, we need to see the freight cost within a broader sales report. For example, it would be great to see the freight cost in the Sales Volume Flexible Analysis app, which seems to have thousands of fields, but not the two that we need... freight cost and ShipTo Customer Group (that's another story).

So I guess we will need to figure out how to make a copy of the Sales Volume Flexible Analysis app and then ADD freight cost to it.

I would think freight cost is a metric that many many S4C users would need to see on a sales report. Might SAP be willing to add it to the native Sales Volume Flexible Analysis app so users don't have to jump through the hoop of making a custom report? Would it be worth raising an enhancement request?

Hi Ralph,

Could you describe your process in a little more detail? For example, are you using an embedded TM functionality?

In S/4HANA Cloud, the freight charges are actually tracked in the Outbound Delivery - through pricing condition YBHD.

So you would need to get the OBD for the Sales Order, then the pricing condition for the OBD (YBHD, plus any taxes, etc that are in the pricing).

If you are tracking the costs in this way, a CDS View might be your best option - probably to build a custom CDS View and use that view to build a report (maybe with the KPIs and Reports app).

If you can confirm, we can look to see if a standard report already exists in the system.
