It always helps your self as well as others if you clearly specify the system, the error message no and if your initial analysis on the error for others to give you a more closer answer. It is just impossible to expect others without access to your SAP system to best guess !!

It means that a modification of the code has occurred and there's a bug. Please ask your developers what they did, the administrators what SAP notes they applied or transport requests they imported...

Check if the customer exit include ZXF04U01 was recently changed. This is one of the central places for additional customer master data checks during customer creation, change or display (the transactions you mention).
