We have Solution Manager 7.2 and SAP_BASIS 7.4 on our ECC system. Is there a way to automatically send an email to a list of users once the job finishes successfully?
I can easily do this in our S/4 system (basis 7.52) since there is already an option in SM36 but that option does not exist in our ECC system
I should add, this job does not create a spool.
Hi Redjie,
Please Go to SM37 -> select the job -> Check the released job (for which you want to get in email) - > Execute - > then, click the first tab and edit the job - -> click "Maintain spool recipients" and maintain the email id to whom you want the email is to be sent.
This will enable mail trigger post completion of job. Including above make sure, you have maintained SMTP host and SAPCONNECT jobs from Tx - SCOT.

Hi Redjie,
Did you check why you didn't receive email from SOST tcode? It would have the stuck entry in SOST.
If it exists there, then please maintain SMTP host in SCOT tcode(along with your email id) and schedule SAPCONNECT jobs at an interval of 5-10 mins(periodically) as I previously mentioned.
