SAP GUI for Windows iView without Single Sign-On

Hi people,

In my SAP EP 6.0 SP16 I have already created a System Object for my SAP R/3 4.7 instance and configured the Single Sign-On between the two applications. Then, I created a SAP Transaction iView (using SAP GUI for Windows) that uses that System Object to open a given R/3 transaction within SAP EP without asking for User ID and Password. It works fine.

Now, I need to make it a little simpler. That same iView will have only to open the SAP GUI for Windows in the logon screen, with the application server, System ID and System Number already selected. Thus, the user will have to enter the client, the userID and the password and finally log on to the R/3 instance.

Is there any recommended way to do that or only workarounds, such as removing the SAP EP digital certificate from the R/3 Trust Manager (strustsso2)?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

yes, try it as ou proposed .. when you remove the certificate from the backend, you'll lead the user to the logon page with the error message that the user could not be logged on ... but the system for sure is preselected.

But then SSO is completely turned off for that backend.

Another way is to create a separate system for that iView and setting this system NOT to SSO. Then use this system in your WinGUI iView and the other (SSO) system in all other iViews where you need SSO.
