How to define JSON Array as top level object in SAP PI/PO

I would like to know how can I define the Data Type in SAP PO ESR to accept incoming JSON file having Array as top level object. I will use REST sender adapter for this.

What I know is that if there's an element above this Array, REST adapter can easily read that element will have multiple occurrences.
