How to define JSON Array as top level object in SAP PI/PO

I would like to know how can I define the Data Type in SAP PO ESR to accept incoming JSON file having Array as top level object. I will use REST sender adapter for this.

What I know is that if there's an element above this Array, REST adapter can easily read that element will have multiple occurrences.

Answering quite late, incase some one stumbles upon this post, the root node can be removed later on channel , using config in the receiver adapter module parameters  setIgnoredElements with ParameterValue "rootnode name". This should work.
