How To manage the Stock differently for the Same Material

Hello Experts,

We have the below scenario for our client,

Scenario 1 :A set of Materials is received from Vendor and the Same is sold to the Customers.

Scenario 2 : And now they are also using the same set of Materials for their in-house production.

So basically they want do manage the Stock differently for the above two scenarios so that they do not face any issues in the Material Planning.

a.) what are all ways we can do the MRP planning separately for the same set of Materials ?Is MRP planning possible at Storage Location Level ? If so what are the configuration needed for the same ?

b.) If we create a separate plant for maintaining the Stock for in-house production what are the factors we need to consider ?
