File Content Conversion

I am reading a fixed length field file. There is no field separator. But it looks like it is required for the Adapter. I specified it as fieldSeparator = ''

For some reason it does not read the first line item.

The Configuration looks like this:

H01,1,H02,,H03,,H04,,L01,,S01,1

I specified the H01.fieldFixedLenghts

H01.fieldSeparator=''

H01.endSeparator='nl'

H01.fieldNames

H01.keyFieldValue

H01.KeyFieldInStructure=ignore

The rest are similar.

For some reason the adapter is able to read the data in all the lines except H01.

Any help appreciated.

    Hi Michael,

    If your input file is fixed field lengths, then it is not required to specify the Field Separator. But you need to mention the entire length of the fields.

    Check this -

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,

    Hi,

    If you are using fixed field length then dont mention the field separator. Other option is read the file in Record - Row format as follows.

    <Record> <Row></Row></record>

    Thanks,

    Prateek

    Hi,

    If you reading a fixed field length file don't specify the Field seperator instead you should give

    H01.Fieldnames

    H01.Fixedfieldlength

    this will work out
