Hi

How do we prevent someone from posting to a WBS element when an element has been settled?

We have had this occurence but I thought this wasn't possible.

Hi Yasmin,

You are able to do multiple settlements for a WBS Element. In order for someone to not post to a WBS element, the Investment Project needs to have status closed. I am assuming that the investment project is still in status "released."

Former Member - I did a test to confirm this. When you try to post to a project that has the status closed, you get a message saying: Object WBS RM.005 (my project name) has system status CLSD (Closed). According to this status, transaction 'FI: Postings' is not allowed.

Procedure

You can only carry out the requested function if this is allowed according to the status of the object.
