The topic was raised recently. Some customers are not sure how the field "G/L account as Not Used" works. Please see the answer below.
If the delivered chart of accounts contains G/L accounts that you don't need, select Not Used for these accounts. These G/L accounts are then blocked for posting in the quality system and are not transported to the production system.
However, if you mark an account as not used after releasing the initial Q2P transport, this account will be deleted in the production system. Of course, you can only set the flag if no posting has been made to that account in the production system.
Please Note: You cannot delete G/L accounts in the quality system. Don't select this field for accounts that are used for automatic posting.
