Dear Colleagues,
I know that there are specific best practices for Two-Tier between S/4HANA On Premise and S/4HANA Cloud Essential.
What about a hybrid scenario whereby the subsidiary runs on S/4HANA Cloud Extended instead of the Essential? I guess that there are still some accelerators, thanks to the API availability, but I need to understand the differences apart from the fact that the integration scenarios need to be built. Once we integrate as per project-implementation, will we end up with the same functionalities? Or are there some apps and/or some processes that simply cannot be replicated between S/4HANA On Prem and S/4HANA Extended?
Thanks a lot and Kind Regards,
Silvia
Hi Silvia,
You are understanding is right that integration scenarios need to be built from the beginning with reference to Two-Tier deployment that is set up between S/4HANA On Premise and S/4HANA Cloud Essential. Regarding functionalities, largely there are no limitation as long as there are API's available.
We have few examples of two-tier customers using S/4HANA Extended at HQ and S/4HANA Cloud Essential at subsidiaries. This way customers/partners can leverage pre-delivered integration along with accelerators to accelerate the S/4HANA Cloud implementation journey . you can access them via best practice link here
Regards
Shiva
