Trigger the automatic reassignment of a number range after existing range has been exhausted

Hi all,

This query was raised with me earlier today - I have added the answer here in the community in case our community users have similar queries related to number range assignment. Question:  If I reach Sales order number 4999999, what will happen with the next document number - Will this automatically be reassigned to number range no 03?

Answer: Number ranges have to be assigned manually. If you are concerned about a situation were you would start to receive duplication errors, please note that warning messages will be raised as you edge closer to exhausting the current assigned range. For your information, number range RV_BELEG (Sales Orders) will trigger warnings at 5.0%; i.e. when only 5% of the number range is available.
