Hello SAP S/4HANA Cloud Community

I work in Product Support for S4HANA Cloud and id like to share questions i receive through incidents with the Cloud Community as i think it would be beneficial to share the information

Question :  Since CE2011 , the Material Number field is required in the app 'Display Material Serial Number' . It wasnt in CE2008. Why ?

A Fix / Correction has been completed and is planned to be delivered with the Hotfix Collection 5

Workaround to use in hotfix is applied

Open the Display Material Serial Number app

In the Serial Number field , Press F4 ( Call the Search Help )

A Popup appears with fields Material and Serial Number

In the Serial Number field , input the Serial Number

Press Continue

A list is displayed with all the Materials associated with the Serial number entered

Double click on the Material / Serial Number combination required

The Material and Serial Number fields on the initial app screen are populated
