We are leveraging the scope item Financial Plan Data Upload from File (‏1HB‏) for solution design - excel template based solution.

Our planned planning data has some planning related to client-specific fields. So, we have checked but not able to find any relevant fields and approach for the same.

1. Can we extend the current SAP standard planning templates to have additional fields before loading into SAP S4 HC (Essential edition)?

2. Can we make rules or use rules to derive fields? E.g. user inputs Cost Center and the Functional Area and Profit Center are derived?

We are looking for validation on the possibility to add new data fields in SAP planning data load template.

You can create other Planning Category using the SSCUI 101970.

Planning Category is similar to CO Version. You can create different Planning Categories with several "Category usage" and "Application Type" for example : "Periodic Planning and Consolidation", "Fixed Asset", "Project Management" and so on.

Loading the planning data using the app "Import Financial Plan Data" (https://help.sap.com/viewer/1cbcff7ccd35405ab445b223c1ab1588/2005.500/en-US/611f7657a11a0522e10000000a44147b.html), you can have different plan information (Actual, Plan, Budget), including with different exchange rate type.

Once it loaded, you can used it with several app to compare Plan and Actual data such as : "Cost Centers - Plan/Actual", "Functional areas - Plan/Actual", "Market Segment - Plan/Actual", "Gross Margin Presumed/Actual" and others.
