MRP Area for Quota Arrangement

Hi,

We would like to know if it is possible to create a quota arrangement for an MRP Area form the app "Manage Quota Arrangements".

Is this possible in S4HC?

No, it is not possible to create quota arrangement for an MRP Area, only Plant.

What a pity that quotas cannot be allocated in the MRP area!.

2551191 - Quota arrangement for MRP area

Resolution

• If your system is not S/4HANA, a quota arrangement in the storage location or subcontractor MRP area is not possible.
  
  - This is standard behavior which was implemented by note 406672. See the explanation in question 7 of note 550844.
  - If you want to change the system behavior to consider quota arrangements in MRP areas, please refer to the modification note 505667.
  - A recommended alternative for the modification: We recommend that you only plan materials with quota arrangement in the plant MRP area. Materials without quota arrangement can of course be procured without restrictions in the storage location or SC MRP areas.
  - If quota arrangements are not working, you can check the system settings according to KBA 1508647.

• If your system is S/4HANA, the logic is as following:
  For subcontracting mrp areas, quotation is not relevant at all.
  For storage location mrp areas, quotation is not considered for stock transfer scenarios, while it is still considered for other scenarios like external procurement.
  
  - The above logic is introduced by note 2339947.
  - For t-code MD01N, please make sure the following notes are implemented so that quota works correctly with MRP areas:
  2546676 - MD01n: Source of Supply and Quotation for MRP Areas
  2365422 - Quotation: wrong production version for MRPAreas
